Which Games Use 30mm Square Bases?
The 30mm square is the step up from standard infantry — the size for models that are simply too big to rank up comfortably on a 25mm:
- Warhammer: The Old World – the base size for larger, non-human infantry. Think Orc Mobs, Black Orcs, Chaos Warriors, Bestigors and Dryads. If you are bringing an older army forward, these are the units most likely to need rebasing.
- Kings of War – a common choice for bulkier elite infantry that overhangs a 25mm square.
- The Ninth Age and other rank-and-file systems – wherever heavier infantry needs a wider frontage.
The classic beveled square profile gives your models a clean, professional appearance and works especially well for miniatures arranged in tightly packed ranks and formations.

Textured Tops for Easier Basing
Every base is printed with a textured top surface, giving glue, sand, flock and texture paste something to key into. Basing materials grip far more readily than they do on a smooth face, so your groundwork goes on faster and stays put.
Glue-Free Magnet Holes
Every base also has a magnet hole printed directly into it, sized to hold a magnet on friction alone. No glue required — magnets snap in by hand, or tap home with a light touch from a plastic mallet. Both versions have the hole; the only difference is whether the magnets come in the box.

Available in 20-pack and 50-pack options, these bases make it easy to rebase a whole regiment of heavy infantry while saving more when buying in bulk.
