Movement Trays for 32mm Round Bases
Terrain Genesis movement trays for miniatures on 32mm round bases — the size Space Marines and much of the current Warhammer 40,000 infantry range are supplied on. Pick up and reposition a whole squad in one motion instead of moving models one at a time, and keep your spacing consistent from turn to turn.
Available in 3, 5 and 10 model sizes: a triangle for characters and their escorts, straight rows for squads that rank up, and cloud and staggered formations that hold a squad in coherency without lining it up like a parade ground.
Check the base, not the box. Older kits and a lot of non-marine infantry still sit on 25mm rounds, so measure one base before ordering — we also make 25mm movement trays and 28mm movement trays. The full range is in movement trays.
Every tray is 3D printed in the USA in durable PLA with a low profile, so your miniatures still look like they are standing on the table rather than on a plinth.
Choosing the Right 32mm Movement Tray
| Models | Formation | Layout |
|---|---|---|
| 3 | 1x1x1 Triangle | Three points, ideal for a character and escorts |
| 5 | Straight | One row of five |
| 5 | 3x2 Cloud | Three front, two rear, staggered for coherency |
| 10 | 5x5 Straight | Two clean rows of five |
| 10 | 3x4x3 Cloud | Three, four, three: the classic cloud |
| 10 | 2x3x2x3 | Four staggered ranks, narrow frontage |
Which miniatures use 32mm round bases?
Space Marines and much of the current Warhammer 40,000 infantry range come on 32mm rounds, along with a good number of Age of Sigmar and other modern kits. Older kits and a lot of non-marine infantry are still on 25mm, so measure one base across before ordering rather than going by the box.
What size tray do I need?
Count the miniatures in the squad, then find that number in the table above. Where two trays hold the same number of models the difference is the shape: straight rows rank up tightly, while cloud and staggered trays spread the squad out while keeping every model in coherency.
How do I read a formation like 3x4x3?
Each number is one rank, front to back. A 3x4x3 tray holds ten models in ranks of three, four and three. A 2x3x2x3 tray also holds ten, in four staggered ranks, and takes up a narrower frontage.
What are the trays made from?
Every tray is 3D printed in the USA in durable PLA, with a solid base and a low profile so your miniatures still look like they are standing on the table rather than on a plinth. The matte black finish is ready to paint if you want to match your basing.
Do you make trays for other base sizes?
Yes. We make trays for 25mm round bases in sizes from 2 to 22 models, and for 28mm round bases. The whole range is in our movement trays collection.
