What Uses a 60x40mm Base?
This is the standard 25/28mm mounted element footprint — 60mm of frontage with 40mm of depth:
- DBA, DBM and DBR – the 25/28mm Cavalry, Knight and Light Horse element.
- Field of Glory and L'Art de la Guerre (ADLG) – 25/28mm mounted element frontage.
- Hail Caesar, Black Powder and Pike & Shotte – multi-figure mounted bases at 28mm.
- Rank-and-file fantasy systems – for mounted models too wide for a 30mm x 60mm knight base but not needing a full monstrous cavalry footprint.
If your rules are written around element frontages rather than individual models, this is the mounted counterpart to a 60mm foot element. For fantasy systems, base sizes are assigned per unit, so check your unit entry before buying for a specific model.
Built for Multi-Figure Basing
Made from high-quality 3D printed PLA with a solid, sturdy design. At 4mm high, the section carries two or three mounted figures without flexing — the real test for an element base, where the whole group moves as one piece.
Textured Tops for Easier Basing
Every base is printed with a textured top surface, giving glue, sand, flock and texture paste something to key into. For element basing, where the groundwork ties several figures into a single convincing scene, that grip does real work.
Glue-Free Magnet Holes
Every base has one 5mm x 2mm magnet hole printed directly into it, sized to hold a magnet on friction alone. No glue required — magnets snap in by hand, or tap home with a light touch from a plastic mallet. Ideal for army transport, where a full element-based army travels as a tray.
