Description
A hill giant does not need a plan, which is precisely the problem with hill giants. It has found a rock roughly the size of a cart, it has got both arms around it at chest height, and it has decided that your party is standing in approximately the right place. Everything after that is arithmetic.
At 90mm true scale this is a centerpiece rather than another figure in the tray. Put it on the table beside your 32mm adventurers and the height difference does the storytelling before anyone rolls anything, which is exactly what a giant encounter needs and what an undersized sculpt never delivers. The braced, chest-high carry gives it a heavy forward weight that reads as momentum rather than menace, and it suits display on its own, with broad areas of skin, hide, and stone that reward blending, texture work, and a slow build of grime.
Assembly
Because of its size, this model ships as a ten-piece kit in a single fixed pose. The joints are unkeyed, so we'd suggest dry-fitting the whole model first to get familiar with how the pieces sit before any glue goes on. Pinning the arm joints is worth the few extra minutes, since the boulder puts real weight through them. A short length of brass rod or paperclip in a pin vise is plenty.
The upside of a multi-part kit at this scale is real: you can prime and paint the pieces separately and reach areas that would be completely hidden once assembled. On a model this large that's the difference between a good paint job and a great one.
