Will Your Knife Fit?
1. Supported handle length — bridge the interior gap
The two side panels are spaced 3.00 in (76.2 mm) apart at their inside faces. Choose a closed knife with enough supported handle length to bridge this gap and rest securely on both panels.
A closed length equal to 3.00 in (76.2 mm) does not provide supporting overlap. Rounded or tapered handle ends, handle shape, and pocket-clip placement can affect how a knife sits. Closed length alone does not guarantee a secure fit.
2. Handle thickness — allow clearance within the slot
The nominal clear handle opening is 0.787 in (20 mm). The handle must fit freely within this opening, with clearance rather than a forced fit.
