Square Base Movement Tray Questions

Which games use square bases?

Rank and flank systems, where units form up in blocks and fight as a regiment rather than a loose skirmish line. Warhammer: The Old World, Kings of War and most historical wargames work this way. If your models are on round bases instead, our 25mm, 28mm and 32mm collections are the ones you want.

What sizes are available?

Four tray sizes: 100x20mm and 100x40mm in one set, and 100x80mm and 125x20mm in the other. Each product lets you buy the full set or pick individual trays, so you can build up a regiment's worth without paying for sizes you do not need.

Do the trays match your Aztec bases?

Yes. The trays carry the same stepped stonework and glyph borders as the Aztec base range, so the deck of the tray and the bases standing on it read as one surface rather than two different materials.

What are they made from?

Plastic, 3D printed to order and supplied unpainted, ready for priming. The carving is cut deep enough to survive repeated handling across a campaign.

Will you add more square base trays?

More square base products are planned. If there is a tray size you need that is not listed here, it is worth getting in touch so we know there is demand for it.
